  Step 1:  USB-based Cameras

Open a Report
USB cameras can only be connected to USB-equipped PC's or a USB port. The main advantage of a USB-based camera is its high quality real time performance because it does not require a video capture card to transmit data over the Internet. On a USB-based camera, data is converted to digital data on the camera itself, and immediately sent down the USB port so that it is in digital form when it arrives on the receiving computer, resulting in fewer transmission steps and better quality display.
