  Step 1:  Click the Start Button

Open a Report
Click the Start button and select Administrative Tools from the Programs group.
  Step 2:  Select AD Domains & Trusts

Open a Report
Select the Active Directory Domains and Computers shortcut from the Administrative Tools program group.
  Step 3:  Navigating the Tree

Open a Report
Click the Active Directory Domains and Trusts root object in the console tree pane to display a list of the domains in the forest in the details pane. You can work with any of the listed domains by highlighting it and selecting commands from the Action menu.
  Step 4:  Configure Forest Options

Open a Report
Highlight the Active Directory Domains and Trusts root object in the console tree pane and click the Action menu to configure settings that apply to the entire forest. From this menu, you can connect to a specific domain controller on the network, select a new operations master, or access the Properties dialog box for the console.
  Step 5:  Setting Domain Properties

Open a Report
Highlight a domain in either the console tree or details pane and select Properties from the Action menu to configure settings for the specific domain. Here you can configure the domain's trust relationships, change the domain mode, and assign a manager.
  Step 6:  Managing a Domain

Open a Report
Highlight a domain in the console tree or details pane and select Manage from the Action menu to open that domain in the Active Directory Users and Computers console. In this console you can create, move, modify, and delete objects in the domain.
