| Click inside cell B3 and enter the first column heading, which should be the name of one of the products you're selling, such as a type of candy bar or cookie. Press the Tab key to move to the next cell in the row. |

| Continue entering all the names of the products, pressing Tab to move to the next cell until you complete the row. |

| At the end of the row of product names, create a column for summing up each day's sales. In this example, enter the heading "Total" at the end of the row. |

| Select the columns to be used in the table, include column A which is empty at this point, and resize the columns to fit the product names you just entered. |

| On the left side of the table you're creating, enter a column of row headings in column A. For this example, I'm tracking daily sales, so I'm entering the days of the week as row headings. Click inside cell A4 and enter the first row heading (in this example, it's Monday). |

| Continue entering all the row headings you need (such as the remaining days of the week), pressing Enter to move to the next cell until you complete the column. |

| At the bottom of your table, create a row for summing up each product's totals. In this example, enter the heading "Total" at the end of the bottom of the row headings for the days of the week. |

| Format the column and row headings to make them stand out. For example, you might want them bold, or center the column headings. |
