  Step 1:  Locate Input Source

Open a Report
With the "New Session" window open, locate on the left side the "Input Source" box.
  Step 2:  Change to Media Device

Open a Report
The radio button is probably highlighted on "File" below, so you will need to change it to "Media Device" by clicking the radio button next to "Media Device."
  Step 3:  Check Capture Audio

If it's not already there, place a check next to "Capture Audio."
  Step 4:  Select Device

Make sure the proper sound card or device is selected in the drop down menu. (If you only have one sound card installed, the menu will be grayed out.)
