  Step 1:  Open Palette

Open a Report
To open the Layers Palette, select Window>Layer or use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl-7.
  Step 2:  Quick Look

Let's take a quick look at the Palette window. In the Layers Palette we have 4 sliders and one drop down box. Each slider is labeled with its function: X Offset, Y Offset, Width and Softness. In the drop down menu, you can tell LiveMotion what to fill your object with: Color, Image, Background or Texture.
  Step 3:  Selecting Background

Open a Report
When you select the Background option from the drop down menu in the Layers Palette, the color and attributes you currently set for the background of your composition will be applied to the object.
