| There are several ways to place objects from the Library Palette into your composition or work area. For this step select the object in the Library Palette that you want to place, then in the bottom right of the palette window, click on the Place Button |

| You can also add objects from the Library Palette by clicking to highlight the object and then dragging the object onto your composition or work area. |

| You can replace objects in your composition with Library objects. In your work area, select the object you want to replace, then in the Library Palette, click to select the object you want to use to replace the initial object, and then click the Replace Button. |

| You can use an object in the Library Palette as a matte. Select the object in your work area that you want to apply the matte to, then in the Library Palette, click to select the object you want to use as the matte, and then click the Make Active Matte Button. |
