| Tinting means to give the entire picture a cast of one color. It's as if a black and white image has shades of red, green, or blue instead of levels of grey. To get this effect, click the "Tint" box. Then click on the "P" button next to the color swatch to get the color dialog box, which enables you to pick a color or create a custom color. |

| Posterizing is a process that converts smooth color gradations to radical "steps" or "bands" of color. To achieve this effect, click the "down" arrow to the right of the word "Posterization." You will get a set of numerical choices. Larger numbers cause more radical posterization. Experiment to find the effect you want. |
