  Step 1:  About Digital Sounds

Digital Sounds are usually WAV, or Midi sound files, that play a tone or short song when specific tasks are performed on Windows.
  Step 2:  Why We Use Sounds on Windows

Using sounds on Windows helps us keep track of certain tasks we are doing. It also makes using the computer a little more interesting by bring some life to it.
  Step 3:  Default Sounds

Open a Report
Windows has set up the default window sounds that will play when certain tasks are performed. These are already set up when Windows is installed
  Step 4:  Why Change Sounds?

Everyone has his or her own personality and tastes. Some people might like to hear different sounds than the default sounds that are provided. So Microsoft has provided a configuration option for changing sounds to your preference.
