| Not only can you make hyperlinks appear in your menus, you can include them in your normal web page as well! For this example, begin a new file by clicking File, New, Blank Page, and OK. |

| Imagine you are planning a surprise visit for your children to the Philadelphia Zoo. You will be creating a web page about the journey. The page will include links to the Zoo as well as to specific sections. In preparing your page, select a background for the page (click Format, Page, and select the background or color you want to use). |

| Enter the following text: You are Invited! Date: Friday, July 21, 2000. Time: 10:00 am. Place: The Philadelphia Zoo! Now enter the following paragraph: On Friday, July 21, you will be visiting the Philadelphia Zoo along with 2 friends you select. We have a tour of the Primate Reserve scheduled for 1:00 pm. While there, we will want to be sure to visit the Red Kangaroo and the Brown Pelican, two of my favorites. Please review the animal list to decide what you want to see while we are there! |

| To create a hyperlink, you need to first highlight the text where you want the hyperlink to appear. In this case, highlight "The Philadelphia Zoo!" listed as the place. Click the Insert Hyperlink button that appears on the standard toolbar. If you have already learned how to set up menus, this should look familiar! Type the hyperlink www.phillyzoo.org and click OK. Arrow off of the text and you should see it appear as a hyperlink (most likely underlined and in blue). |

| You will need to link the words "Primate Reserve" to www.primatereserve.philly.com. The words "Red Kangaroo" need to link to www.phillyzoo.org/pz0069.htm. The words "Brown Pelican" need to link to www.phillyzoo.org/pz0012.htm. The words "animal list" need to link to www.phillyzoo.com/pz-alist.htm. |

| Click the Preview in Browser button that appears on the standard toolbar. Try the links that appear throughout your page. Make sure everything works! Close the browser when you are finished. If any of your links did not work, highlight the link, click the Insert Hyperlink button, and correct the hyperlink that appears. Note: if you have your browser open and on the page you want to link to, copy the address for the web site (from the address line in your browser) into the Hyperlink line in Vizact. |

| Save the file if you would like (optional) – click File, click Save As, type the name for the file, and click Save. Close the file by clicking File and then Close. |
