Tutorial Home >Music and Video >Digital Video >Adobe GoLive 4.0 >Working with Links >Using Text Inspector

  Step 1:  Open Window

Open a Report
With an HTML document already open in GoLive, open the Inspector Window by selecting View>Inspector or use the keyboard shortcut Alt-1.
  Step 2:  Text Inspector Window

Open a Report
When you first open the Inspector Window, the window will default to either Text or Image Inspector. This will be determined by whether you have selected a text or graphic object in the layout view of the HTML document you just opened. For now, because we want to look at the Text Inspector, highlight some text in your document. This will ensure that you have the Text Inspector Window open and not the Image Inspector.
  Step 3:  Text Inspector Tabs

Open a Report
With the Text Inspector Window open, you will see three tabs: Link, Style and Action. These are the three elements that you can modify using the Text Inspector Window.
  Step 4:  The Link Tab

Open a Report
The Link tab or Link Inspector allows you to set the hyperlink for selected text, and establish a title for your link and target.
  Step 5:  The Style Tab

Open a Report
The Style tab or Style Inspector allows you to add styles from lists of all classes in a page's internal or external style sheets. For more information on adding styles, see GoLive Help Files.
  Step 6:  The Actions Tab

Open a Report
The Action tab or Action Inspector allows you to use ready made scripts that add sound, dynamically change content, control the browser window, and trigger playback of video scenes.
