 | | To restart you laptop, choose start, shutdown, and then choose restart. | | | |

 | | Occasionally your laptop's software will crash. You'll have to press the Control, Alt, and Delete keys (CTRL+ALT+DEL) in unison to bring up the Windows 98 close program window. You can select the program that is not responding and choose end task. Sometimes, however, it becomes necessary to shut down the system to end the program that is not responding. To do so click the shutdown button. | | | |

 | | If your laptop has crashed and it will not respond to your mouse movements, you'll have to reboot the computer. In this scenario, press the Control, Alt, and Delete (CTRL+ALT+DEL) keys in unison to reboot the computer. You will have to press this combination twice on most operating systems to reboot. | | | |

 | | As a last ditch effort, when none of the above suggestions work, you'll have to power down your computer using the on/off switch. When you're forced to use this method, allow the computer to spin all the way down and rest for at least a minute before powering back up. | |
