  Step 1:  Open AD Domains and Trusts

Open a Report
Select Active Directory Domains and Trusts from the Start menu's Programs/Administrative Tools group to display the Active Directory Domains and Trusts console.
  Step 2:  Open the Properties Box

Open a Report
Highlight a domain in either the console tree or details pane and select Properties from the Action menu to display the Properties dialog box for the domain.
  Step 3:  Click the Trusts Tab

Click the Trusts tab in the Properties dialog box to display lists of the domains that are trusted by the current domain and that trust the current domain.
  Step 4:  Select a Trust

Open a Report
Select one of the trust relationships in either of the lists on the Trusts page and click the Edit button to display the Properties dialog box for the trust.
  Step 5:  Click the Verify Button

Open a Report
Click the Verify button on the Properties dialog box to verify and reset the trust relationship. This process checks the communications between the domain controllers for the two domains involved.
  Step 6:  Enter Domain Credentials

To verify the trust relationship from both sides, you must supply access credentials for the other domain involved in the trust. Enter a user name and password in the fields provided and click the OK button to continue with the verification process.
  Step 7:  Click the OK Button

If the system is able to verify that the trust relationship is functioning properly, the system generates a message informing you of this fact. Click the OK button to close the notification window, and click OK again to close the domain Properties dialog box to return to the console.
