Configure Parental Controls for the Internet

Parental Controls can be configured for various activities. The information below discusses Parental Controls related to Internet Explorer 7.

  1. Open Internet Explorer.

  2. In the Internet Explorer window, click the Tools pull down menu in the upper right, and then click Internet Options.

  3. In the Internet Options dialog box, click the Content tab, and then click Parental Controls.

  4. In the User Account Control dialog box, click Continue.

  5. In the Parental Controls window, select the user to set up Parental Controls. If necessary, create a new user account.

  6. In the User Controls window, in the Parental Controls area, verify that On is selected, and then click Windows Vista Web Filter.

  7. In the Web Restrictions window, select the appropriate options.
