Windows Journal

Windows Journal is a note-taking utility that lets you write notes in you own handwriting in the same way that you write notes with pen and paper. However, because the ink is an actual data object and not just a picture or image file, you can convert you handwriting to text and can enter text into notes. You can also draw and include graphical files in notes. Furthermore, because Windows Journal performs background handwriting recognition on ink, you can quickly and easily search through the handwritten ink files stored on a Tablet PC hard drive.

To open the Windows Journal, use the following steps:

  • From the Windows Vista default Start menu, tap or click All Programs, and then tap or click Windows Journal.

On the graphic, click the hyperlinks to move through the various screens.
