How do I burn an audio CD in Windows Vista Media Center?

To burn an audio CD in Windows Vista Media Center, use the following steps.

  1. Press the Windows Media Center Start button on the Media Center remote control.

  2. Select Tasks, and then burn cd/dvd.

  3. Place a blank CD in the burner drive.

  4. In the Select Disc Format window, select Audio CD, and then select Next.

  5. In the Name This CD window, specify a name for the CD, and then select Next.

  6. Select the songs to add by going to the appropriate album, artist, genre, song, playlist, composer, years, or album artists.

  7. To add a song, select a checkbox. To exclude a song, click to clear the checkbox. Once the desired songs are selected, select Next.

  8. In the Review & Edit List window, make any final changes and then select Burn CD.

  9. In the Initiating copy dialog box, select Yes.

  10. The disc is created. If you wish to do other tasks within Media Center, select OK.
