How do I know if my computer is ready to install SP2?

Go to the Windows Update Web site. Windows Update scans your computer. If it lists SP2 as an available update, then your computer is ready for SP2. Windows Update automatically offers SP2 to compatible operating systems.

If your computer is not ready, or if you wish to install SP2 from a CD, you should read the minimum system requirements for the service pack.
