Troubleshooting Internet Explorer Using Manage Add-ons Interface
This Manage Add-ons interface should be used for troubleshooting Internet Explorer issues which are often caused by third-party components loaded in the IEXPLORE process. For example, if you receive an error message similar to the following where an add-on was reported to be running when Internet Explorer crashed, you should click Advanced.
After clicking Advanced, the Manage Add-Ons interface displays. Locate the offending module and disable it. In this example, you would locate and select CrashControl.dll. Click Disable, and then click OK. Once the add-on is disabled, test Internet Explorer again.
