When I change channels, my set top box on-screen menu appears, and I have to use my set top box menu to remove it. What is causing this?

This is caused when the ENTER or OK key is programmed to provide two functions. One sends a channel change immediately and the second brings up the menu. Reconfigure your TV signal settings to not use ENTER or OK when changing channels.
