How do I troubleshoot watching live TV?

The following steps may be used one at a time to try to resolve Live TV playback issues in Media Center.

  1. Ensure that the TV signal cable (coaxial) is connected firmly to the wall outlet and TV connection on the TV tuner. Refer to the setup poster for further information.

  2. Restart the computer.

  3. Remove any USB mass storage devices.

  4. Verify that PowerDVD is installed. An error message may appear, indicating that the decoder is not working properly if PowerDVD is not installed.

  5. Reinstall the video drivers.

  6. Reinstall the audio drivers.

  7. Reinstall the TV Tuner drivers.

  8. Reinstall PowerDVD.

  9. Reseat the video card.

  10. Reseat the sound card.

  11. Reseat the TV Tuner.
