Channel changing seems slow with my set top box. What can I do to speed it up?
You can speed up the rate at which infrared (IR) commands are sent to the set top box. This speeds up the channel changes.
- Determine the fastest speed for sending IR signals that works:
Reconfigure your TV signal settings and change the remote control speed from Slow or Medium to Fast. Verify that the channel change still works. If you are unable to change channels successfully after making this change, return to your prior settings.
- Try using the ENTER key for channel changes:
If your set top box ENTER or OK key is not overloaded with other functions, such as the set top box menu or add channels, then reconfigure your TV signal settings to use ENTER or OK when changing channels. This sends the channel change as soon as the last digit is entered. Verify that the channel change still works. If you are unable to change channels successfully after making this change, return to your prior settings.
