How do I burn an audio CD in Windows Media Center 2005?

To burn an audio CD in Windows Media Center 2005, use the following steps.

  1. Press the Windows Media Center Start button on the Media Center remote control.

  2. Select My Music.

  3. Select if you would like to add songs from Albums, Artists, Playlists, Songs, or Genres.

  4. Select the desired songs.

  5. Place a blank CD in the burner drive.

  6. Select Create CD/DVD.

  7. In the Create CD/DVD wizard, select Audio CD, and then select OK.

  8. Specify a name for the CD, and then select OK.

  9. The selected songs are listed. To exclude a song, in the right pane, select the check box for that song.

  10. You can also add additional songs. To do this:

    • In the left pane, select Add More.
    • In the left pane, select if you would like to add songs from Albums, Artists, Playlists, Songs, or Genres.
    • In the right pane, locate and select the songs you want to add to the CD.

      Note: To select all the songs in a folder, in the left pane, select Select All.

    • After finished adding songs, in the left pane, select View CD.

  11. All of the selected files are now listed. To create the CD, in the left pane, select Create CD.

  12. When prompted to create the disk, select Yes.

  13. The disc is created. If you want to do other things in Media Center, select OK.

  14. The disc is finished burning. In the COMPLETING DISC CREATION dialog box, select the desired option.
