Factory System Recovery in the eMachines Recovery Center

This option restarts the computer to the WinRE environment on the hard drive. From this environment, you can use utilities such as Startup Repair, System Restore, Complete PC Restore, Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool, Registry Editor, or Malicious Removal Tool (MRT).

  1. From the Windows Vista default Start menu, click All Programs, eMachines Recovery Center, and then click eMachines Recovery Center.

  2. In the User Account Control dialog box, click Continue.

  3. In the Welcome to eMachines Recovery Center window, click Recovery.

  4. In the Restart to launch eMachines System Recovery window, select Yes, restart my computer now, and then click Next.

  5. The computer restarts to the Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE) on hard drive.
