Create a Restore Point

Use the following steps to create a restore point.

  1. From the Windows Vista default Start menu, click All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, and then click System Restore.

    Note: System Restore can also be opened by typing Start Search keyword: rstrui.

  2. In the User Account Control dialog box, click Continue.

  3. In the System Restore dialog box, click open System Protection.

  4. In the System Properties dialog box, on the System Protection tab, click Create.

  5. In the Create a restore point dialog box, type in a description for the restore point, and then click Create.

  6. The restore point is created. Please wait.

  7. In the System Protection dialog box, click OK.
