Application Recovery in the Gateway Recovery Center

This option allows you to reinstall programs that came from the computer. The files are installed from the recovery partition on the hard drive so no external media is required.

  1. From the Windows Vista default Start menu, click All Programs, Gateway Recovery Center, and then click Gateway Recovery Center.

  2. In the User Account Control dialog box, click Continue.

  3. In the Welcome to Gateway Recovery Center window, click Programs.

  4. In the Programs window, click Application recovery.

  5. In the Program(s) originally provided with your PC window, select the item to install, and then click Next.

  6. The selected program is installed.

  7. In the Congratulations window, click Finish.
