Q: What are the stored locations for My Videos?

A: Each user has a separate My Videos folder and users can view video files in a shared folder or their separate, non-shared My Videos folder. Video files may be stored in one of the following folders, and Windows Explorer can be used to organize the video files in these folders.

  • Shared folders:

    • C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Shared Documents\Shared Videos
    • C:\Documents and Settings\All Users.WINDOWS\Shared Documents\Shared Videos

  • Non-shared folder:

    • C:\Documents and Settings\<user name>\My Documents\My Videos

Note: Video files, shortcuts to video files, or shortcuts of folders containing video files can be placed in the My Videos folder or the Shared Videos folder.
