BIOS Jumpers
Recovery Boot Jumper Moving the jumper to cover pins 2 and 3 forces the motherboard to boot into the BIOS recovery mode loading the BIOS code from a floppy disk. When the jumper covers pins 1 and 2, the server boots using the existing BIOS. Password Clear Jumper When the jumper covers pins 1 and 2, the default setting, the current BIOS passwords are maintained. With pins 2 and 3 covered, the password is cleared upon system reset. CMOS Clear Jumper
Placing the jumper on pins 2 and 3 forces the motherboard to reset the system BIOS settings, except for the passwords, to the factory default settings each time it is restarted. Place the jumper back on pins 1 and 2 to save the current BIOS configuration. |
