Q: Notebook has no display after resuming from sleep mode

A: Occasionally the notebook may not display anything on the LCD screen after resuming from sleep mode.

To resolve this, please update the BIOS on the notebook to version 1.11 or later.

Downloading and installing the latest BIOS file:
  1. Obtain the latest BIOS files from the Gateway drivers download site.
  2. Download the file and unzip its contents to the computer.
  3. Locate the Winflash folder in the extracted files.
  4. Run the BIOS update application.
  5. Follow the prompts to install the update to the BIOS.
