Q: Video and audio issues may occur while watching TV or movies via the web

A:

Video and audio issues may appear when streaming TV shows or movies through the Internet using the Adobe Flash Player.
Many networks and websites like Hulu use the Adobe Flash Player to display the media content.

Per the Adobe knowledge base article KB403107, poor audio and video can be caused by insufficient network bandwidth or if Hardware Acceleration enabled.

Network bandwidth can be improved by closing out off applications that might be using bandwidth such as instant messengers, peer-to-peer sharing applications, etc.

Hardware Acceleration can be turned off by following the steps below:

  1. Right-click on the the Adobe Flash Player and click on Settings
  2. Deselect the Enable Hardware Acceleration option
  3. Click Close
Note: Please allow at leaste one to two minutes for the change to take effect.
