Gateway Updater Software

The Gateway Updater software provides an easy way to keep the software and drivers on your Gateway computer up to date. To launch the Gateway Updater software:
  1. Click on Start and then All Programs
  2. Click on the Gateway folder
  3. Double click on Gateway Updater

The Gateway Updater software overview:

New Updates tab

This tab provides a list of the current updates that are available for the Gateway computer. To manaully check for updates, click Check for Updates. To install an update that is available click on the update in the list and click Install.

Note: When installing an update, you may be prompted by Windows to allow the Gateway Updater application to continue. Click Yes to allow the Gateway Updater to install the updates.

Update History tab

This tab provides a list of the updates that have been installed through the Gateway Updater, including the date of the installation and version of the update.

Settings tab

This tab provides the settings that can be changed for the Gateway Updater. Through the Settings tab you can adjust how often the Gateway Updater checks for available updates. The following options are available:
  • Check for updates every month
  • Check for updates every week
  • Check for updates every day (Recommended)
  • Do not automatically check for updates (Not Recommended)

Hidden Updates tab

This tab lists all of the updates that you set to the "Hidden" status on the New Updates tab.
