    Diskette drive

    To find the diskette drive type and capacity:

    1. Right-click the drive letter, then select Properties. The drive type, capacity. and available space appears. A 3.5-inch diskette drive uses 3.5-inch diskettes up to 1.44 MB capacity. An LS-120 drive uses 3.5-inch diskettes up to 1.44 MB capacity and SuperDisk diskettes up to 120 MB capacity. A Zip drive uses Zip disks up to 100 MB capacity.

    Optical drive

    To determine the optical disc drive type, examine the drive tray's plastic cover. A DVD logo indicates a DVD drive, a CD Compact Disc logo indicates a CD drive, and a CD-R/RW logo indicates a recordable/rewritable drive.
