2 When the Gateway screen appears, press Esc . The processor speed is listed in the device screen.

3 When the Boot menu appears, select Hard Drive.

To find your notebook hard drive capacity:

1 Click Start, then select Programs, Accessories, System Tools, then DriveSpace.

2 Click the drive letter, then select Drive, then Properties. The capacity and available space on the hard drive is shown. If the hard drive has multiple partitions (for example, C: and D:), add the capacities of each partition to determine the drive's total capacity.

To find your optical disc drive type, examine the plastic cover of the drive tray. A DVD logo indicates a DVD drive, and a blank cover indicates a CD drive.
