920 Series Server Receives STOP 7B, Inaccessible Boot Device Message When Loading Windows 2000 and PXE Is Disabled in CMOS Affected Products: Servers Affected Operating Systems: Windows® 2000ISSUE: When you disable PXE boot in the BIOS Setup Utility, Microsoft® Windows® 2000 starts to a blue text mode exception error message, "STOP 0x00000007B, INACCESSIBLE BOOT DEVICE", while Windows is attempting to start. This may also occur during the installation of the operating system, even after the drivers are specified. RESOLUTION: Update to BIOS revision 3G01 or later from the Gateway Web site. As a workaround until the BIOS can be updated, enable the PXE boot ROM. The field in the BIOS Setup Utility is located under Advanced, Onboard Devices Configuration, and is titled ONBOARD LAN PXE ROM.
