Other Devices Appear in Windows 2000 Device Manager on 960 or 980 Server

ISSUE: When installing Windows 2000 Server on a 960 or 980 server, several other devices appear in Device Manager.

The Windows driver update utility does not find any matching drivers when searching the Server Companion CD (SCCD).

RESOLUTION: Run the chipset installation utility, Setup.exe, found on the Server Companion CD at \Drivers\960\Chipset\2K or \Drivers\980\Chipset\2K. The utility can also be downloaded from the Gateway Web site, file name 7512941.exe.

After installing the utility, the other devices are identified as system devices. In addition, several system devices are identified properly.
