Megaphone Will Not Save Information In Address Book

ISSUE: When trying to use the MegaPhone Address Book, it will not save information that is recorded. Information can be entered into the fields, but when the OK button is clicked the information is not saved. No other functionality associated with the Address Book functions either (i.e. speed dial, or dialing from the Address Book).

RESOLUTION: Make sure that the Current Location is set to a specific location and not selected as Default Location without any information included. Follow these steps:
  1. Open the Megaphone application, then click File, then click Preferences.

  2. In the Preferences window, find Current Location.

  3. Click Edit Location. This will prompt Set Your Location.

  4. Click on New and make sure the Basic option is selected.

  5. Click Next.

  6. Next to City, click Find.

  7. In the Location/Area Code, type in your area code.

  8. Click Find, then select the city closest to the location of the computer, within that area code. The city need not be correct, as long as the area code is correct.

  9. Click OK to return to the Basic Configuration window.

  10. Click Next.

  11. Assign a name to this location.

  12. Click Next.

  13. Click Finish. The location should now be be set.

  14. Click OK twice.
