Solo 1200 Modem Dials But Does Not Connect with AOL Affected Products: Notebooks, Software Affected Operating Systems: Windows® Me ISSUE: When attempting to dial AOL on a Solo 1200 portable computer, the computer appears to dial normally although there is no active dial tone or the telephone is not plugged in properly. After dialing, a message appears stating that there is no dial tone. RESOLUTION: Verify that the telephone line is plugged into the modem connector located on the right side of the computer, not the network connection located on the back of the computer.
