Netware 6 Fails to List U320 SCSI Drivers During Installation

ISSUE: During the Netware 6 installation on the 533-MHz FSB version of the 960-series and 980-series servers, an empty driver listing selection screen is displayed when attempting to select the driver from the list.

RESOLUTION:
  1. Exit the Netware installation.

  2. Create the folder C:\NWUPDATE on the C: drive.

  3. Copy the ADPU320.HAM and ADPU320.DDI files into this directory.

  4. Restart the Netware installation and choose to retain the current partition.

  5. The Netware installation automatically loads drivers from this folder and matches them to the drivers to the integrated SCSI controllers.

Note: This issue can also occur when an add-in PCI SCSI controller that is automatically detected by Netware is installed. This causes Netware to skip past the adapter driver configuration directly to the device installation. Pressing the ESC key twice returns the installation to the adapter configuration screen.
