M-6750, M-6750h and M-6755 Are Unable to Detect Wireless Routers Affected Products: Notebook Computers Affected Operating Systems: Windows VistaISSUE: Customers are unable to detect any wireless routers out of the box or after reinstalling the operating system. RESOLUTION: Note: Before proceeding verify that the wireless is turned on and that the wireless status indicator light is lit. Note: There is both a hardware switch and FN key combinations used to turn the wireless radio on and off. Make sure the hardware switch is in the on position.
If the wireless status indicator light is not lit press the FN + F2 key to turn it on. With the wireless radio turned on use the following steps to remove and then reinstall the driver. The device will be removed and the notebook will go through a hardware detection process. During the detection process the driver is loaded automatically.
Note: When reinstalling the operating system on a notebook the wireless network must be turned on prior to going through the operating system startup screens or this issue will occur again. |
