20 Pin Connector Power Supply on a 24 Pin Connector Motherboard

ISSUE: Power supply part number 6500724 that is shipping in E-4300 4 bay computers has a 20 pin power supply connector for the motherboard, yet the motherboard has a 24 pin connector.

RESOLUTION: The additional pins are for more +12V and +5V power to the motherboard. They were added to the connector for future motherboard power requirements, and are not needed at current motherboard power consumption levels. They exist to allow the motherboard to support the theoretical maximum power consumption of an ATX or full BTX motherboard. The current E-4300 computers do not need the additional wires to support this theoretical maximum power level.
