"The file MegaIDE.sys could not be found" Error Message When Using F11 to Start Recovery

ISSUE: After pressing the F11 key to start recovery, the following error may occur:

    The file MegaIDE.sys could not be found.
    Press any key to continue.

Pressing any key displays a message that Setup failed and the computer restarts.

RESOLUTION: A patch has been created that replaces the txtsetup.sif and boot files on the recovery partition to resolve this issue.

Method 1 (recommended):

If the computer can start into Windows, download MegaIDE.exe from the Gateway Web site. This patch modifies the recovery partition to resolve the issue.

Method 2:

If the computer cannot start into Windows, use the recovery media rather than pressing F11 to start recovery. Recovery CDs and DVDs are not affected by this issue, since the files used to create the media are from a Boot.img file rather than the recovery partition.
