Marvell NIC Triggering Switches to go Into Protection Mode

ISSUE: The Marvell NIC is triggering switches to go into protection mode, because the switch believes it is seeing two MAC addresses. Because the switch believes it sees two MAC addresses, the switch shuts down that port not allowing any network traffic.

RESOLUTION: Download and install Marvell Yukon 88E8050 PCI-E ASF Gigabit Ethernet Controller Driver Version: 8.27.4.3 or greater. Filename Marvell827.exe is available from the Gateway Web site.
