Integrated Marvell Network Card Disappears From Device Manager After Turning On the Computer
Affected Products: Desktop Computers, E-Series Computers Affected Operating Systems: Not OS DependentISSUE: When turning on the computer, the integrated Marvell Network Interface Card (NIC) disappears from the Device Manager. For this issue, your computer should experience most or all of these symptoms:
- The issue only occurs when starting the computer by turning on the power (cold boot).
- You can reload the driver, at which point it functions correctly.
- After a reload of the computer the NIC works correctly until a cold boot.
- If you restart the computer (warm boot), the NIC usually works when the latest BIOS Setup Utility version is installed.
- When the NIC is not listed in the Device Manager, the activity and connection lights are off as well.
RESOLUTION: Download and install BIOS version SE91510J.15A.2609 or later from the Gateway Web site.
