Track Titles Do Not Match the Track Being Played on DMP-X20 Affected Products: Peripherals Affected Operating Systems: Not OS DependentISSUE: When listening to music tracks on the DMP-X20, the track title and artist listed on the player may be completely different than the track that is actually heard playing. The track that is heard but incorrectly identified as described above will also be on the DMP-X20 and play and be identified correctly. As an example, the track information may list the artist as Metallica and the track title as Enter Sandman, but the actual track playing is Free Bird by Lynyrd Skynyrd. The DMP-X20 would also have Free Bird listed as a different track that plays and is identified properly. All files appear to copy to the DMP-X20 correctly in Windows Media Player and the all of the same songs play correctly in Windows Media Player on the computer. RESOLUTION: Rename the MP3 or WMA files appropriately. For example, instead of TRACK01.WMA, change the filename to the appropriate ARTIST NAME - TRACK TITLE.WMA.
Alternatively, you may re-rip the songs from the CD to the hard drive, but this time connect to the Internet and have Windows® Media Player find Album Info prior to copying so the correct ID tags and filenames are generated. If Windows Media Player cannot locate the Album Info, the information must be entered manually.
