Timeout Error is Logged in Event Viewer When LSI 21320-R SCSI Card is Installed in 9115 or 9210 Server

ISSUE: The follow error message may be repeatedly logged in Event Viewer when a 9115 or 9210 server motherboard is populated with a LSI 21320-R SCSI card.

"The driver for the device \Device\Scsi\symmpiX detected a port timeout due to prolonged inactivity. All associated busses were reset in an effort to clear the condition", (X is either 0 or 1 to designate a port on the SCSI controller).

This error occurs when only one channel on the SCSI card is being used.

RESOLUTION: This error only occurs on the SCSI channel not in use. It does not impact system performance or affect the performance of the SCSI channel which is in use.
