"Error (84FF): System Event Log Full" Message Appears at the End of POST on 9115 or 9210 Servers

ISSUE: During the Power on Self-Test (POST) of a 9115 or 9210 server, the following error message may appear in red.

"Error (84FF): System event log full"

The server may pause at this error or continue to startup.

RESOLUTION: This behavior is by design. The server continues to start normally and is not otherwise impacted. By default, the BIOS Setup Utility is configured to not pause on this error message.

Note: Some server models overwrite the oldest events when the SEL becomes full. However, on the 9115 and 9210 servers, events are no longer logged when the log becomes full.
