M350WVN Losing Time in Microsoft Windows

ISSUE: When using a M350WVN, it may lose time. The amount of time it loses and how long it takes for the time loss to occur may vary. This issue still occurs if all startup items and non-Microsoft services are disabled, and if all cables and devices are disconnected from the M350WVN. This issue may occur at any time, but is more prominent when using a 3D Text screensaver showing the time.

The BIOS does not lose time. Restarting the computer automatically sets the correct time in Windows. Additionally, this issue does not occur in Safe mode, VGA mode, or if Hyper-Threading is disabled.

Reinstalling Windows or replacing the computer does not resolve the issue.

RESOLUTION: Download and install BIOS version 34.01.00 or later from the Gateway Web site.
