Gateway DMP-X20 Digital Jukebox Player May Stop Responding When Trying to Play at Bookmarks Affected Products: Peripherals
Affected Operating Systems: Not OS DependentISSUE: When trying to start playback at a bookmark created on the Gateway DMP-X20 Digital Jukebox, the player may stop responding or repeatedly start and stop. When the issue occurs, none of the buttons or menu items respond and the player must be turned off. Turning on the player restores functionality, however accessing a bookmark again causes the same results. Additionally, the bookmarks may occasionally be deleted automatically after the player has been turned off and back on.
This issue has been known to occur with WMA files but not MP3 files, and may occur using firmware version 1.97 or 2.3.RESOLUTION: Download and install the Gateway DMP-X20 20GB Jukebox Player Firmware version 188.8.131.52 or later and Service Provider software version 184.108.40.206 or later. The latest firmware and Service Provider software is available on the Gateway Web site. Firmware version 220.127.116.11 and Service Provider software version 18.104.22.168 are file name 9527243.
