Gateway DC-M42 Digital Camera Has Poor Battery Performance

ISSUE: When using a standard alkaline battery in the Gateway DC-M42 digital camera, the battery life is extremely short.

RESOLUTION: Standard alkaline batteries are not adequate for digital cameras. For maximum battery life, use either "High Drain" alkaline batteries that are designed specifically for digital cameras or rechargeable nickel metal-hydride batteries, which can give you up to two times as many shots on a fresh charge.
