Black Video Box When Trying to Watch a DVD on an External Monitor

ISSUE: When you have the computer set up for cloned video and attempt to watch a DVD, you see a black video box on the external monitor.

RESOLUTION: Use the following steps to resolve this issue.

  1. On the desktop, right-click on an open area, and then select Properties.

  2. In the Display Properties dialog box, click the Settings tab.

  3. On the Settings tab, click Advanced.

  4. In the (Multiple Monitors) and MOBILITY RADEON 9600 Properties dialog box, click the Overlay tab.

  5. On the Overlay tab, click Clone Mode Options, and then click Same on All. Click OK.
