No Sound or Distorted Sound with Boston Acoustics BA735 Speakers
Affected Products: Desktop Computers Affected Operating Systems: Windows® 2000, Windows® 98 SE, Windows® Me, Windows® XPISSUE: When you try to listen to sound with the Boston Acoustics BA735 speakers there may be no sound, or the sound is distorted. RESOLUTION: Use the following steps to change the audio settings to digital output. Use the steps that match your operating system.
In Windows XP:
- From the Start menu, point to All Programs, Accessories, Entertainment, and then click Volume Control.
- In the Volume Control dialog box, below the Play Control Volume slider, click Advanced.
Note: If Advanced is not below the Play Control Volume slider, from the Options menu, click Advanced Controls.
- Click to select the Digital Output Only check box, and then click Close.
In Windows Me and Windows 2000:
- From the Start menu, point to Programs, Accessories, Entertainment, and then click Volume Control.
- In the Volume Control dialog box, below the Play Control Volume slider, click Advanced.
Note: If Advanced is not below the Play Control Volume slider, click Options, and then click Advanced Controls.
- Click to select the Digital Output Only check box, and then click Close.
In Windows 98 SE:
- From the Start menu, point to Programs, Accessories, Multimedia, and then click Volume Control.
- In the Volume Control dialog box, below the Play Control Volume slider, click Advanced.
Note: If Advanced is not below the Play Control Volume slider, click Options, and then click Advanced Controls.
- Click to select the Digital Output Only check box, and then click Close.
