No Sound or Distorted Sound with Boston Acoustics BA735 Speakers

ISSUE: When you try to listen to sound with the Boston Acoustics BA735 speakers there may be no sound, or the sound is distorted.

RESOLUTION: Use the following steps to change the audio settings to digital output. Use the steps that match your operating system.

In Windows XP:

  1. From the Start menu, point to All Programs, Accessories, Entertainment, and then click Volume Control.

  2. In the Volume Control dialog box, below the Play Control Volume slider, click Advanced.

    Note: If Advanced is not below the Play Control Volume slider, from the Options menu, click Advanced Controls.

  3. Click to select the Digital Output Only check box, and then click Close.

In Windows Me and Windows 2000:

  1. From the Start menu, point to Programs, Accessories, Entertainment, and then click Volume Control.

  2. In the Volume Control dialog box, below the Play Control Volume slider, click Advanced.

    Note: If Advanced is not below the Play Control Volume slider, click Options, and then click Advanced Controls.

  3. Click to select the Digital Output Only check box, and then click Close.

In Windows 98 SE:

  1. From the Start menu, point to Programs, Accessories, Multimedia, and then click Volume Control.

  2. In the Volume Control dialog box, below the Play Control Volume slider, click Advanced.

    Note: If Advanced is not below the Play Control Volume slider, click Options, and then click Advanced Controls.

  3. Click to select the Digital Output Only check box, and then click Close.
