Q: Why doesn't my desktop computer display any video?

A: The desktop computer may not display any video when powered on.

If a dedicated graphics card is installed into the computer; the video cables must be connected to the ports on the graphics card and not to the ports on the motherboard. Whenever a dedicated graphics card is installed on the computer the onboard video is disabled and cannot be used.

Note: If the desktop is equipped with a dedicated graphics card the video ports on the motherboard may have plastic covers blocking them.

Ensure that the video cables connections in the back of the desktop are connected to the proper ports.
